Students at Tongue Primary School have received a digital boost, thanks to a donation of 30 computer mice and five pairs of wireless headphones from Orbex.
The Forres-based spaceflight company made the donation as part of its wider commitment to supporting education and skills development in the North of Scotland, with a particular focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education.
Dee Roberts, Principal Teacher at Tongue Primary School, said: “The pupils of Tongue Primary School are very grateful to Orbex for their kind donation of computer mice and headphones. These items help to instil digital skills in the children, allowing them to use their Chromebooks more efficiently and access online learning more easily.”
Phil Chambers, CEO of Orbex, said: “It might seem like a small thing, but having the right tools can make a big difference to a young person’s ability to learn and feel confident with technology. We’re proud to play a small part in supporting learning in Tongue.”
