Dining Goes Interstellar as Rocket Scientists Sample Space-Themed Menu

Forres-based orbital launch services company Orbex has teamed up with iconic restaurant brand Six by Nico to sample the out-of-this-world menu.

Eight Orbex team members – working on the development of Orbex Prime, set to launch from Scotland in 2026 – traded the launchpad for the dinner table to taste Six by Nico’s new space-themed menu at its Aberdeen venue.

Phil Chambers, CEO at Orbex, said: It was fantastic to share this experience with Six by Nico and our Orbex team. Scotland is fast becoming a hub for space innovation, and it’s brilliant to celebrate that through two things we do best – rockets and food. Who knows, maybe some of the creativity behind these dishes will inspire the design of our rockets one day!”

Nico Simeone, Chef and founder of Six by Nico, said: “SPACE is about pushing the boundaries of flavour and presentation. We asked ourselves: what might food look and taste like on a space station, or on a distant planet? The result is a menu that’s both playful and thought-provoking – a journey for the palate and the imagination. Partnering with Orbex has made that vision feel even more real, connecting the creativity of our kitchens with Scotland’s growing innovation in space exploration.”

The cosmic menu is available now at Six by Nico restaurants across the UK and Ireland, running until 16 November 2025.
