John Bone

John Bone is Chief Commercial Officer at Orbex, responsible for driving the company’s commercial strategy and the delivery of the commercial outcomes of the business.  

With over two decades of experience in the aerospace sector, he has held senior leadership roles at prominent organisations including Rhea, Telespazio, and CGI, where he led commercial teams and strategic initiatives across Europe. A recognised leader in the UK space industry, John has played a pivotal role in regional development as Chair of the North East Space Leadership Group since 2014. At Orbex, he leverages his industry knowledge and network to forge key partnerships and expand the company’s global market presence.

John holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Computer Science from Teesside University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computing for Commerce and Industry from the Open University.
