Charles Platts

Charles Platts is Chief Financial Officer at Orbex, overseeing the Finance, IT, and Legal functions.

With over 15 years of international experience in strategic finance leadership, he has held senior roles at Paragraf, Fujifilm Ink Solutions, and Johnson Matthey, including CFO and Finance Director positions. Charles has led successful turnaround strategies for global businesses, enhanced working capital performance, and improved stakeholder visibility into key financial drivers. Known for fostering high-performing, collaborative teams, he champions business partnering and talent development across functions. 

His leadership extends beyond the corporate sphere - he serves as Chairman of the ICAEW Global Trade Advisory Group, contributing to the evolution of global trade policy. Charles holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from King’s College London and an MBA from Warwick University.
